Real People. Real Problems. Real God. Real Answers. That’s the tagline of our video testimonies. It’s really who we are. We are casual people of a rural community navigating through life as ordinary people out to change their world through an extraordinary God living inside them.
Ministries at CCLF include a vibrant worship service with three separate worship teams blending a unique mix of classic worship hymns with contemporary songs of praise similar in style to artists such as David Crowder, Tim Hughes, Chris Tomlin and many Vineyard motifs. One worship leader is in his 50s and delivers a Southern Rock style of worship; another is in his 20s and reminds us of a David Crowder or Kevin Prosch… another is the lead pastor who carries more of Vineyard Ministries style of leading.
Hiedi Mack leads a dynamic Children’s ministry called Glory House and she sees kids as smaller containers of the same Holy Spirit adults have – they don’t get a Junior Holy Spirit.
Morgan Kasper and wife Courtenay lead our youth ministry, which relocated recently into our local high school band room. There is an established girls group as well on Thursday nights for Junior High girls, and an up and coming young guns group for the guys.
Pastor Rick leads our Band of Brothers men’s ministry which is championed as well by many men in the church. We are definitely a ‘man-friendly’ church and quite intentional about that.
Ladies ministry takes place on a seasonal basis as ladies step into what God calls them toward.
There is compassion ministries that occur also seasonally as we give to the poor and do outreaches in bigger centers like Kamloops or Vancouver. This also includes an inter-church Community Christmas Dinner that we host for the low income families of our community.
We are connected relationally to several Messianic congregations in Israel and have found that as we bless Israel, so we are blessed.
We are privileged to be in our third year of our Generations Discipleship School (GDS), a six-month full-time school for high school graduates, building foundations for life and ministry. This is run by Dusty Sundman, a dynamic leader who has grown up in the leadership of CCLF. Check out www.generationsdiscipleship.com
Pastor Rick and Marci lead a New Believers group up on Wednesday nights and homegroups meet on various nights and are always an awesome safe place for practicing our personal gifts, growing in community together by spurring one another on to love and good deeds, and for practical caring to take place.
Overall there are numerous opportunities to plug in and get connected with people at CCLF whether it’s making coffee for our transitional time between the services, running sound for the services, cuing up the powerpoint, hosting a bible study in your home… the list goes on.
